FAQ

Short answers to common questions about TDS.SO.

Do I need my own server?

For your own domains — yes: the cheapest VPS will do, and installation takes a couple of minutes, see step 1. If you take ready-made domains from a seller, you do not need a server.

Can I install TDS.SO on a server that already hosts a website?

No. The installer stops nginx and Apache, and the websites on the server stop opening. Use a separate VPS for TDS.SO.

How many domains and links can I add?

The number of servers, domains, templates and links is unlimited. You can add up to 500 domains and create up to 500 links at a time.

Do I need to buy SSL certificates?

No. Certificates are issued automatically and for free on the first visit to the domain over https://.

How quickly do changes apply?

Immediately: edits to links, templates and landing pages take effect without a restart and without any action on the server.

Does TDS.SO work with Keitaro, Binom and other trackers?

Yes. TDS.SO goes in front of the tracker: it filters out bots and passes the click ID and parameters to the tracker campaign, see TDS.SO in front of a tracker. To move off a tracker completely, see the guides for Keitaro and Binom.

Why does TDS.SO show more clicks than the ad network?

TDS.SO records all visits — including bots and repeat visits. Compare the Humans metric with the ad network, see statistics.

How do I change the offer in all links at once?

Replace the URL in the template and copy it to the existing links, see Change the offer on all links.

With the Change domain bulk action: the links' slugs and statistics are kept, see Replace a domain.

How do I check that the filter catches bots?

Open the link as a regular visitor and send a request as a crawler, then find both visits in the click log, see Verify filtering.

Do subdomains work?

Yes. Add a * DNS record pointing to the server IP — links will open on any subdomain, see subdomains.
