Macros
Which macros are replaced in the destination URL and on landing pages, and what happens to unknown ones.
A macro is a name in curly braces, for example {click_id}. URL fields have an Insert a macro button ({}).
Where macros work
- The destination URL of a template, link or stream, and the Bot URL — the whole table below.
- Landing pages — only their own placeholders.
Destination URL macros
They are expanded after one URL has been chosen from the list. Values are URL-encoded.
| Macro | What it is replaced with | Example |
|---|---|---|
{click_id} | click ID, 32 hex characters | 3f2a…9c0d |
{ip} | visitor's IP address | 203.0.113.7 |
{country_code}, {country} | ISO 3166 alpha-2 country code | DE |
{city} | city from the geo database | Munich |
{region} | region from the geo database | Bavaria |
{isp} | ISP | Deutsche Telekom AG |
{timezone} | time zone by IP | Europe/Berlin |
{ua} | full User-Agent | Mozilla%2F5.0… |
{os} | operating system | Android |
{browser} | browser | Chrome |
{device} | pc, mobile, tablet or empty | mobile |
{lang} | first two letters of Accept-Language, en by default | ru |
{referer} | the Referer header of the request to the link | https%3A%2F%2Ft.me%2F |
{name} | the value of the name GET parameter from the request to the link. | {sub_id} with ?sub_id=abc → abc |
An empty value becomes an empty string. An unknown macro with no parameter of the same name stays in the URL as is: {sub2} without ?sub2= is not replaced.
The click ID in TDS.SO is {click_id}, not {subid} from Keitaro or {clickid} from Binom.
Landing page placeholders
| Placeholder | Result |
|---|---|
{name} | the value of the name GET parameter; tags are stripped, HTML is escaped |
{title}, {description}, {image} | the <title>, Open Graph, Twitter Card and vk:image meta tags — from the link, or from the landing page settings if the link has none |
Click and visitor macros do not work on landing pages.
Example
Destination URL https://offer.com/?cid={click_id}&geo={country_code}&src={utm_source}, request https://d.com/Ab3xZ?utm_source=fb → https://offer.com/?cid=3f2a…9c0d&geo=DE&src=fb.
To pass all request parameters at once, without macros, use parameter forwarding; for details, see parameters and macros.
